"Jessica excels at everything she does and she gives the 110% effort in all areas of life. She is an exceptional student withmany talents. One of the many things I admire about Jessie is her sincere caring ways towards others. She is always putting other's first and seeks to find ways to help in all areas of her life. Jessie's family is her number one. Even though she is busy with all of her school activities and academics she still finds the time to participate in local community activities, coaching young children and volunteering for almost anything. Jessie is a wondeful role model to young children as well. I find Jessie a very inspiring young woman who is very deserving of this award."

"Katie is a special 16! She loves to read and wanted to help kids read, so she came up with giving books to give to kids at Christmas time. She started collecting new and used books to give to families. She has been collecting books the past 3 years and now she has been collecting and giving books to kids all year long. Katie also decided to help the local Food Pantry here in Carroll. She came up with the idea a year ago to give bags of food to the Food Pantry. When the families came in to pick up food it would be already bagged for them. What is so special about this girl is that she is very supportive!"

"I would like to nominate Katie because Katie is always willing to go the extra mile to help others in need whether it is in the classroom, or if it is a CCD class where she will volunteer to read at church or serve mass or site with the younger kids, she is always willing to help others.  When Katie is at home she is always willing to clean the house, help with the laundry or help outside.  Even though Katie is very busy with all the extra sporting activities she does, she is always willing to go above and beyond.  Katie is a great help on and off the athletic field."

junestudentofmonth "Alex is someone that gets along with everyone and is very out going.  He always has a smile on his face and has a good sense of humor.  When you are having a bad day and you get to see Alex's smile, you forget about your problems.  He is active in football, wrestling and intramural dodge ball.  He also participates in local community activities.  He is such a social person and a fun kid.  He was nominated by his class to be on the court and won prince of the Winter Wonderland Dance.  He will do anything for anyone when asked and is a hard worker.
July Winner Congratulations to Taylor Boyle, 10th grader of IKM-Manning
july student of the month 2010 "Taylor is a very busy girl during the school year with academics, sports, mass server, youth group and all the ordinary things girls participate in.  When she is not studying or helping at home she is a CNA at the Manning Plaza where she works the 4-9 shift several nights a week or weekends.  Taylor also loves to cook and does a great deal of it at home, not because she has to, but because she wants to, and loves to create new things for her family to try.  Taylor would be most deserving of the Student of the Month award because she is so kind, humble and most appreciative of her surroundings.  I am so proud to have had a part in raising a wonderful young lady who has never forgotten me and reminds me of the good times and love she received under my care."
